Reindeer Hide | 70x110 cm

Reindeer hides bring a touch of Nordic nature to any home, with their unique colors complementing any style and serving as a fantastic focal point.

Reindeer hides are delicate in a home environment, and should be used solely for decoration. Avoid sitting, lying, or standing on the hide, and keep it away from direct heat sources such as radiators, fireplaces, or underfloor heating.

Outside use

Outside, the reindeer skin is not as much affected by the dry warmth of the home environment, making the skin more resilliant and fit to use on for example chairs and benches.

Finnish Reindeer Hides

In Lapland, the northern region of Finland, 100,000 reindeer graze across the fields. Over centuries, these semi-domesticated animals have adapted to survive in harsh Nordic conditions.

Reindeer are primarily bred for their meat, making their hides a genuine byproduct of the meat industry in Lapland. Due to the limited number of reindeer, the availability of reindeer hides is very restricted, making each hide highly exclusive.

Reindeer hides are a natural and comfortable product, incredibly soft to the touch and aesthetically pleasing, making them ideal for both indoor and outdoor use. However, they are best used as decorative items, as it is not advisable to sit or stand on them. For more information on caring for reindeer hides, visit our care guide here.

Please note that reindeer hides are a natural product available in a variety of colors, including white, brown, and silvery-gray. Each hide is unique in its natural color tones, ensuring that no two hides are exactly alike, each boasting its own individual character.
