44 square feet of Brazilian cowhide, listed here as hide 0917. It is the only one of its kind we hold, and once it sells there is no second copy of it.

The markings are not printed or matched to anything. They are where they grew, which is the reason two hides never look alike even when the sizes are close.

At this size it anchors a room. It will take a sofa and a coffee table, or sit under a six-seat dining table with room to push the chairs back.

Looking after it is simple. Shake and air it, treat spills quickly with neutral soap and warm water up to 104°F / 40°C, keep chemical cleaners away from it and turn it now and then so one end does not take all the traffic.
